With BARD Mobile, you can play the audio materials on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. If your device is connected to a refreshable braille display through Bluetooth, you can also read the braille materials available on BARD.
BlindSquare is a safe, reliable, and accessible GPS solution for those who are blind or visually impaired. It describes the environment, announces points of interest and street intersections as you travel. In conjunction with free, third-party navigation apps it is a powerful solution providing most of the information blind and visually impaired people need to travel independently.
Digit-Eyes is a unique iPhone app that enables people who are visually-impaired or who have problems reading to identify items using their iPhone, iPod or iPad. Digit-Eyes reads manufacturer’s UPC and EAN code and tells you the product name, a full description, usage instructions and ingredients, in 10 languages. Using Digit-Eyes, inexpensive off-the-shelf office supplies and a standard inkjet or laser printer, you’ll be able to record audio labels or make text labels that are read aloud by your phone.
DocuScan Plus makes it easy to scan, read, save, and email printed material and PDF documents. You can also convert your documents to DAISY, MP3, braille, or large print, or even send them to your Amazon Kindle. DocuScan Plus extends the power of accessibility anywhere beyond the Internet to the print world.
The KNFB Reader converts printed text into high quality speech to provide accurate, fast, and efficient access to both single and multiple page documents with the tap of a button on the iPhone. Picture accuracy is facilitated by a Field of View Report, Automatic Page Detection, and Tilt Control.

Individuals with print disabilities will benefit from the synchronized speech and text highlighting capabilities.
LookTel Reader recognizer allows those persons having visual impairments or blindness to identify cans, packages, ID or credit cards, DVDs, and similar items. Customers can store images of objects in a library or database, and then point the iPhone’s camera at an object and the phone will recognize and describe the item instantly. A barcode scanner is included to provide additional labeling help.
Recognition happens instantly, in real-time, without having to hold the camera still to capture a photo, then wait for a result. Recognizer can be used at any location, anytime, as the app needs no internet connection.
TapTapSee is designed to help the blind and visually impaired identify objects they encounter in their daily lives. Simply double tap the screen to take a photo of anything, at any angle, and hear the app speak the identification back to you via spoken identification through VoiceOver.
